Overview

The Spear build on a knight is a single target, boss killing focused build. You're able to deal very consistent damage, with small bursts every 5 hits. The main mechanic for this build is Charging Pierce. With Charging Pierce, every time a spear skill hits an enemy (can be multiple if you're AOEing) it accumulates a counter. On the 5th hit, you will deal 80% more damage. So for every 5th hit, you want it to be Hundred Spear, in order to deal max damage.

Aside from that, there isn't a whole lot more going on. Your AOE is a bit weak compared to the sword build, so it's not recommended to build for AOE damage. However, you can still make very good use of Brandish Spear for Charging Pierce counters, and Wind Cutter to grab some ranged mobs or something.

Your main combo is: Hundred spear -> Spiral Pierce -> Pierce x 2 -> Hundred spear.
This ensures your 5th hit is Hundred Spear. Continue from here making sure your 5th hit is ALWAYS Hundred Spear.

Use Provoke when it won't mess with your tank, as it adds a good amount of damage, due to the defense drop debuff it places on the target.

You can use Spear Boomerang to help accumulate Charging Pierce stacks on distant targets, as you get closer to them.

Lastly, Hack and Slasher is an AOE tool in this build. The damage on the AOE portion of the skill is increased, while the single target portion is decreased. Hack and Slasher makes a decent AOE along with Madness Crusher, while using Brandish Spear in between cooldowns.

Gear

It's recommended to use gear that boosts physical damage, ranged damage, critical damage and single target damage.

Recommended Enchants

LUK until you have over 100 crit, I like to hover around 150 when possible.
If you have enough LUK, put the rest of slot 1 and 2 into STR, or boss killer. I use STR when I want to fight normal enemies too, and boss killer if I only want to fight bosses.
Slot 3 should be single target damage OR range damage, it depends on what cards and gear you use. I would usually go for single target.
